new employees

At Crossroads  we provide our employees with in-House and on-the-job training. All training hours are paid and we provide training at all stages of your career. Whether you are a new hire that has little or zero knowledge about being a Direct Support Professional or whether you have been a Professional for years and are looking to become more accredited we will do all that we can to set you up for success.

For New Hires, all training takes place on-line at our Peger Rd office. Crossroads has teamed up with Relias, a nationally recognizezd, on-line training program. Relias has an abundance of training modules that we have adopted to help you learn about what Direct Support Professionals do and their responsibilities when working with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Additionally we have other training modules that will help teach you Medication Administration, Health and Safety, how to detect signs or Abuse or Neglect, and other topics that are pertinent to working with people with IDD. On average there are 60 hours of required training that needs to be completed for New Hire. These training hours are all paid time.

All fees and additional expenses such as Background Check Unit, Fingerprints and NADSP registration are paid for or reimbursed by Crossroads.

On average a New Employee will spend their first 60 hours participating in Relias training.
